NecroVisioN Demo
I am not sure how many demos I have played that really made me want to steer clear of a game. In fact, I can really only count on one hand the number of games that had a demo drive me away. Regardless, I have learned that demos ARE, in fact, a pretty good representation of the final product.

On that note, I just installed the NecroVisioN demo. At first I thought this had to be a mod or third-party title, but I was soon corrected after I loaded up the demo and was immediately bombarded with an Nvidia logo screen.
I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that this game sounds like the corniest title you have ever heard of (besides Barbie as the Island Princess the video game). Well friends, you are correct.
The game is set in WW1 and the big kicker is battling vampires and demons. It seems to me like one of the producer’s 5-year old kids came up with not only the name, but the plot of this title as well.

Did you ever see the 2008 Rambo movie entitled “Rambo”? Well if you haven’t I am about to ruin it for you. The movie consists of 5% plot and 95% death, ass-kicking, guns, and blood. I bring this up because it seems to me that the developers of this game had a meeting that consisted of the following text:
Steve: “Hey Ted, we have to make a new video game. What should it be about?”
Ted: “I don’t know Steve, but I know gamers hate good plots in video games.”
Steve: “Good point. Let’s do something that hasn’t been done before. How about demons and vampires?”
Ted: “Hmmm…and let’s set it in World War 1 and make German zombies come after you! That hasn’t been done before!”
Steve: “ZOMG! Brilliant! Let me call my 5-year old son and ask him what we should call it.”
I didn't think a game could possibly still be this bad. After all the advances video games have made over the years, NecroVision feels like you are taking a step back into the late 90s with better graphics.
I now want to talk about the voice acting. It. Is. Awful. With key phrases like “Respect my skills,” and “I can’t remember who is good or bad, but I’m the guy with the guns,” being stated by your character every so often, it really gets you in the mood for this amazing game – Sarcasm. This game is a great example of why just as much time needs to be put into plot and dialogue as gameplay.
NecroVision is either the worst demo I have ever played or it is the most intentionally corny game on earth. Either way, if you don’t like extremely corny games I would steer clear of this demo and game all together.
